VOLUNTARY SUPPORT

for those in need

HANDS stands for Help a Neighbour in Distress Scheme - and that is exactly what we do. We act as good neighbours, providing voluntary support for those in need in Twickenham and St Margaret's, especially older people and those who are isolated and housebound. Our aim is to improve quality of life and help maintain cherished independence.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many of our activities have been put on hold. However, our volunteers are still able to help with shopping, collecting prescriptions and telephone befriending. We will restart our other activities as soon as it is safe to do so.
